Jeep Colors 1972-1986

This started as a way to pick a color for my rusty CJ-7. The published lists disagree, and there are few authoritative sources. Factory service manuals and dealer brochures are the strongest paper evidence; firewall tags would be better, but nobody can collect them all. Surviving AMC paint brochures do not separate AMC colors from Jeep colors, and supplier chips are not authoritative. Olenik and PaintRef.com are useful but conflict with each other—and PaintRef sometimes conflicts with itself by year versus by color.
